The challenge
FEG supplies agricultural raw materials to oil processing plants in China. It also runs its own brand, Golden Field, which covers farm machinery and product imports. These are different audiences, different tones and different deal flows, but one company stands behind both, and the site had to present it as a whole rather than two unrelated projects.
The export side speaks to international partners. Raw material buyers care about volumes, crops, logistics and supplier reliability, and their first impression of the company comes from the website. Golden Field needed to read as a project in its own right while still carrying the trust of the parent company. The content was mixed: business lines, product blocks, contact and inquiry flows for B2B. A rigid template would not fit, and everything had to be editable without touching markup.
What I built
The core of the job was the site structure: two business lines, each with its own way of presenting itself, inside one site and one admin. I built it on WordPress with custom fields from ACF and Carbon Fields. ACF covers fields that editors set up in the admin; Carbon Fields declares fields in code and ties them firmly to block templates, so they don't break when content changes.
Pages are assembled from a shared set of blocks, which gives one visual language across the site without duplicated code. PHP handles block templates, field output, inquiry forms and the links between the two business lines. The project took 3 months.
Key features
- Raw material exports — what FEG trades, which crops and volumes go to Chinese oil plants, and how logistics work, with a clear path to an inquiry.
- Golden Field brand section — farm machinery and imports presented as a separate line inside the same site.
- Product blocks — title, image, specs and description built from fields; editors add items and change their order themselves.
- Inquiry and contact forms — B2B contact points on key screens, with fields and recipients set per business line.
- About and trust blocks — company background, scale, supply geography and partnership benefits for international buyers.
- Flexible block structure — pages built from ready blocks that editors combine to fit each business line.
- Responsive layout — blocks, images and forms adapt to desktop, tablet and phone.
